Gloster Gamecock

GLOSTER GAMECOCK

The last wooden biplane fighter in RAF design flew for the first time as a prototype in February 1925. Start to equip the RAF at May 1926. The service life is relatively short-lived, partly caused by abnormally high accident rate. Gamecock II cured some of the shortcomings with their longer-span top wing, a revised vertical tail unit and some other improvements. Also built under license in Finland as Kukko
