AVRO VULCAN
The prototype Avro 698 Vulcan (VX770) first flown at 30 August 1952 and achieve the reputation= as the first delta winged bomber. First production (Vulca= n.B.Mk.I) delivered at July 1956, but after 45th aircraft it was replaced = by Vulcan.B.Mk.2, which already have flight refueling equipment. After relinquished from QRA role, RAF Vulcans assigne= d to NATO and CENTO in free-fall bombing role In May 1982, Operated from Ascensi= on Island in the Atlantic, Vulcans carried out att= acks towards Falkland Islands to support British operations to recapture it from= Argentina. Total Production’s 136, including two prototypes.
